How To Tell If You Have Blocked Arteries

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. It is nothing new to my family. Two of my uncles have had bypass surgery because of clogged arteries and plaque build-up and at the age of 55, my mother had a heart attack. After having a long talk with my Uncle Ray one night about the importance of good health, he made me a challenge I have determined to not take lightly. He challenged me to take better care of my heart than he had taken of his. Uncle Ray’s challenge really got me to thinking about the importance of heart health and my thinking got me to researching.

I then decided that I would begin researching everything I could to find out about the heart. I began studying all kinds of medical literature and reading everything I could find that had to do with heart health. To begin with, I found all the basic stuff about taking care of your heart such as: eating right, maintaining a healthy weight, and exercising. But upon further research I found the results of other researchers by the name of Dr. Linus Pauling and Dr, Matthias Rath. Their discoveries were amazing!

Dangerous Plaque Build-up & Causes

From their intense research the doctors determined that plaque accumulation or build-up on the interior lining of the arteries is a result of mechanical stress. The arteries are flexible and work very hard, opening and closing every single time the heart beats. The closer the artery is to the heart, the harder it works and the more stressful it can be. Oftentimes, over time this so-called mechanical stress can cause tears on the interior lining of the arteries. When this happens to a healthy person, the body naturally heals itself. But to someone whose body is lacking certain nutrients, the lesions can cause severe problems. How To Tell If You Have Blocked Arteries

When a body does not have the proper nutrients, it cannot produce substances such as collagen that is necessary for repairing the arterial lesions. When this happens, the body will do whatever it can to stop the artery from leaking. So it grabs anything it can find that happens to be floating around in the blood stream and makes a patch out of it and places it on the torn lining. Over time, these patches thicken and cause what we know as plaque build-up in the arteries. For those who receive and maintain the proper nutrients in their body, the amount of plaque build-up can be reduced and sometimes even eliminated.

So many people today think they are getting all the nutrients they need because they eat a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Unfortunately, this is not to be the case and many of those people end up getting heart disease. This is because many of the fruits and vegetable that are sold in grocery stored today are treated with modern fertilizers and pesticides which prevent them from being able to provide the proper nutrients. Dr. Pauling’s research revealed that when a person receives the proper dosage of certain nutrients and the right time, the body will be able to function properly and help to prevent heart disease.
