It helps a lot if your friends know what to do in case of a heart attack. That’s what Tony Gilliard from South Carolina found out the hard way.
Gilliard suffered a heart attack while playing basketball with his friends. Good thing for him, his friends knew exactly what they had to do to save him, and that’s what they did. They were able to get his heart working again even before the EMTs arrived.
According to Chip Reid for CBS News, “His teammates immediately got to work.One grabbed the defibrillator the church had just recently installed. Another started chest compressions.”
