George W. Bush Undergoes Heart Surgery

George W. Bush underwent a surgery that was meant to open up an artery that has been blocked. The surgery comes after a physical exam has shown that the artery has a problem. The procedure was a success.

The procedure involved placing tube called a stent in the body in order to open up the block artery. The procedure is termed as minimally invasive, which means that there are very few changes done on the body to do it.

According to Abby D. Phillip, “Blockages of the artery can be diagnosed if there are symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath during exercise, or by way of a stress test.”
