The Grand Rapids Heart Walk is one of the largest fundraisers for the American Heart Association. A thousand people participated in this event on Saturday. The fundraising activity aims to raise money to fight heart disease

13-year-old Devon Saliers is one of those who participated in this year’s walk. He joined the event despite being released from the hospital just less than a month ago. He received a new heart in August and he’s very thankful that he is still alive today and wants to give back by helping and participating in the event.
