It’s common knowledge that soda lovers out there are putting their teeth and waistlines at risk with cavities and weight gain being the consequences of this sugary addiction. But did you know that it could put your heart health at risk too?
A recent study released on a publication of the American Heart Association called Circulation states that individuals who drank the most sugar-sweetened beverages on a daily basis had a 20 percent higher chance of getting heart disease compared to those who drank the least.
And if you think that those who drink diet soft drinks are in the clear, think again. Another study published in Journal of General Internal Medicine says that those who consumed diet soft drinks daily increased their risk of suffering a vascular event or death by 43 percent.
